"TLTI" stands for Timothy Leadership Training Institute, an organization that took root in Africa in the 1990's and has since developed rapidly throughout the world.
Our Vision is that healthy churches worldwide are flourishing and transforming their communities under the leadership of those who have been equipped through accessible, high-quality training.
Our Mission: Working with international and local ministry partners, we provide essential training to church leaders worldwide, equipping them to advance the Kingdom of God in their congregations and communities.
This mission is done in the spirit of 2 Timothy 2:2, "Entrust what you have heard from me to those who will be qualified to teach others."

In many countries around the world the Christian church is growing rapidly, often in places of economic need and political restrictions. It is common for pastors and other church leaders to be appointed with little or no training. As they engage in challenging ministry and observe the proliferation of sects and non-Christian teaching, they sense a great need to be trained themselves and to train the lay leaders of their churches.
Recognizing this acute need, particularly in Africa, an international team of educators came together during the 1990’s to address this challenge. They represented a variety of mission groups and churches. Over the next two decades, the team designed, field-tested and continually revised what is today Timothy Leadership Training (TLT).
Original partners include:
The Anglican Church of Kenya
The Reformed Church of East Africa
Numerous other Protestant denominations throughout Africa
Stichting Partners voor Afrika (Netherlands)
Calvin Theological Seminary
World Renew (previously CRWRC)
Resonate Global Mission (previously CRWM)
TLT is now being implemented in over 40 countries worldwide and in more than 30 languages.
In additional to providing church leaders with the foundations of Pastoral Theology and practice, TLT produces two observable outcomes by God’s grace:
As TLT trainees develop their capacity for effective Christian ministry, they also learn to multiply what they learn by training others, using the same materials. Then in turn, their trainees train others in the spirit of 2 Timothy 2:2.
While developing additional skills for ministry, trainees focus on ways in which their ministry can, by God’s grace, bring observable change to the spiritual, social and economic lives of those they serve.
Today, TLTI provides this training to a widening international network of church fellowships, denominations and mission agencies. We would be delighted to explore ways to collaborate with you as we engage together in Christ’s great worldwide mission.

Timothy Leadership Training Institute encourages and accepts estate gifts from individuals and families to help meet the ministry goals of TLTI for generations to come, whether by designating a future gift or creating an endowment for a ministry program.
While TLTI does not offer estate planning services directly, it does so in partnership with the Barnabas Foundation for U.S. donors, and with Christian Stewardship Services for Canadian donors, in order to help families make planned gifts and develop estate plans.
Barnabas Foundation The Barnabas Foundation is committed to the principles of Christian stewardship.
